A Month In

Proud to say I'm thriving here in Paris!! It's only been a month and I feel like so much has happened. I've learned so much and have had the most amazing opportunities pop up all around me. I've broken this post up into three different categories- travel, passion, and self-reflection, in order to make it somewhat more organized.

The Arrival

Haphazardly wiping the tears from my face, I sniff loudly as I text my friend back, "Yeah I'm in Terminal 2 right now and just dropped my family off.
Also I like...just cried, so ignore my face."

Like A Disco Ball...But More Downplayed

Do you ever just want to dress up like a disco ball? Except...a more muted, wearable, casual, and downplayed one?
Well welcome to your new favorite jumpsuit. I've been on the hunt for one for the longest time and decided to pick this one out after seeing the interesting play on stripes on it. Lucky for me, it's super comfortable. Unlucky for me, it's not the greatest thing to wear in this 100 degree weather.

Women's March 2017

On January 21, 2017, millions of women and men all across the world joined together in solidarity for the protection of our rights and freedoms. And I have never felt more welcome in a crowd of strangers.

"This is more than just a single day of action. This is the beginning of a movement to protect, defend, and advance human rights, even in the face of adversity."

My 2016 Reflection

As the time changes to 12:00:01 am of January 1, 2017, and people around the world cheer, kiss, and hug those around them, we end the year 2016 and begin the first day of 2017.
2016 has been a year of loss, discovery, self-love, and passion. As cliche and overused as the "book" and "life" metaphor is...this chapter in my life has come to a close but I'm excited to start writing the next one. 2016 was the year that had me crying, discovering, traveling, stressing, and creating. I went through so many emotional roller coasters this past year, but everything happens for a reason and I know that I am stronger today because of it.
